Wong Kar Wai

This man is Wong Kar Wai, he is from Hong Kong, and he is considered an author by the film critics all around the world. He is my favorite director, I have a lot of other favorite directors but he is definitely at first place.

I remember that when I first wanted to study cinema I started to look in Youtube trailers of movies that had been in festivals, because in my family there is literally no cinema culture at all. So, I wanted to watch good movies. And I saw the trailer of "My Blueberry Nights" directed by Wong Kar Wai, and I thought to myself like: Wow, that has something... I couldn't watched it at that exact moment but the time pass and one day there was in the TV, in I.sat channel. And I watched the entire movie, I had to go to my boyfriend house and I was already late, but I just loved the movie so much that I didn't care... My Blueberry Nights it's not even his best movie, actually for the critics is the worst one haha. But I don't care! I just love all of his movies. And is really weird, because I'm not a romantic person, and his stories are always about romantic love. But just the way he makes the films are so unique and beautiful that I just find him fascinating and an inspiration at the moment to make decisions regarding the photography and the art direction in my projects.
