My last year of school I had an elective class of engraving, I chose that class because all the other options were theorical and I didn't want more to study. I didn't thought that I would like it, I wasn't good at art class so I didn't had any faith on engraving. But every class that passed I loved it more and more.
The first two assignments for the class were very delicate. I'm a perfectionist, and I don't know how but everything went good and I ended up loving the results. The third assignment wasn't as delicate, actually, we had to woodcarving. The results weren't perfect but I didn't care because I found out that woodcarving is one of the most relaxing things in the world. You can listen to music and shape the wood for hours, doesn't matter if you mess up because you can always cut deeper and fix it.
I don't think that engraving is something that I would like to do again, but I would love to do more woodcarving just for fun. I also think that it could help me to think about cinema ideas :)
