A picture of my past

This picture shows me when I was two years old, so it was probably at the end of 1997, or the summer of 1998. I’m not sure. The photo was taken by my aunt Ximena who is my mother’s little sister. My aunt is the one that took all of the pictures when I was little and it’s funny because she took a lot of photos of me and I liked to pose for her. That’s weird because I hate to appear in photos nowadays.

I was a very independent little kid, and this picture shows a part of that. When I was little I liked to put my swimming float and jumped into the pool alone. I never drowned or had any traumatic experience in the pool and obviously my parents never left me alone in there, but I had my space and my freedom in there. I really loved to be at the pool when I was little, I don’t do that anymore. I have a pool in my building but I don’t like it… In summer is full of kids that are very noisy and obviously they pee in there, and that makes me nervous.
